Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industrial experience, including at least 4 years as Associate Professor in IITs, IIMs, IISc Bangalore, IISERs, or equivalent institutions. High research, training, and consulting credentials.
2	Associate Professor	Level-13A2: ₹1,39,600 - ₹2,11,300	Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.	Minimum 6 years of experience, including at least 3 years as Assistant Professor. Candidates from industry with 6 years of equivalent experience may also be considered.
3	Assistant Professor Grade-I	Level-12: ₹1,01,500 - ₹1,67,400	Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.	Minimum 3 years of teaching/research/industrial experience (excluding Ph.D. period). Exceptional candidates may have experience waived. Candidates from industry with 3 years of equivalent experience may also be considered.
4	Assistant Professor Grade-II	Level-10: Initial Basic Pay ₹70,900	Ph.D. in the appropriate branch with first class or equivalent in the preceding degree, with a very good academic record throughout.	No prior experience required. Appointment as Assistant Professor Grade-II (on Contract) allows fresh Ph.Ds. to gain teaching experience. After one year of post-Ph.D. experience, the candidate moves to Level 11.

Open Invitation:
- This invitation is open to all interested candidates applying for various Faculty Positions in different Academic Areas.
Previous Applicants:
- Candidates who have already appeared for Faculty Interviews conducted by IIM Shillong in the past 1 year will not be considered, unless there are significant updates or changes to their bio-data.
Scrutiny and Shortlisting:
- Scrutiny and shortlisting of applications will be carried out by the Institute as per the requirements of the desired Academic Area(s) and Position(s).
Reservation Policy:
- The Institute follows the Reservation Policy as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates applying under SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS, or PwD categories must select the relevant category in the Recruitment Portal and submit the necessary certificate in case of shortlisting/selection.
Relaxation in Marks:
- Relaxation of up to 5% in qualifying marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates and up to 3% for OBC candidates in Master's and Bachelor's degrees.
