Educational Qualifications:

• Broad Specialties: PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB/DM) in the relevant specialty.
• Super Specialties: PG Degree (DNB/DM/MCH) in the relevant super specialty.
• Candidates must have completed one year of Senior Residency at a recognized institute for Direct Recruitment.

Pay Scale:

• Salary during the probation period as per existing rules.
• Post-probation, the 7th UGC Pay scales (G.O.Ms.No.22) will apply, with an additional Super Specialty allowance of ₹30,000/

Eligibility:

• Local Candidates: Only candidates who are local to Andhra Pradesh can apply. This includes those who studied from 4th to 10th grade in Andhra Pradesh or migrated from Telangana within 3 years from June 2, 2014. Residence certificates are not acceptable for local consideration; study certificates are required.
• In-Service Candidates: Must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer. They must resign from their current position before joining if selected. They cannot apply for the same specialty they currently work in.

Selection Procedures:

• Direct Recruitment (DR):
  • Based on merit and rule of reservation.
  • Merit lists and selection lists will be based on eligibility and reservation rules, with a total of 100 marks.
• Lateral Entry (LE):
  • Candidates must submit an NOC from their Head of Department.
  • After selection, candidates will initially serve as Senior Residents for one year before being appointed as Assistant Professors.
  • Selection will be based on merit and reservation rules applicable to promotions.
