The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2026. This examination recruits engineers for high-ranking Group A and B posts across various central government departments. Around 474 vacancies are expected this year. The exam will be conducted in three stages – Preliminary Exam (08 Feb 2026), Mains Exam, and Personality Test/Interview. Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Telecommunication. Selected candidates will be offered salary and perks in Pay Matrix Level 10/11 (7th CPC) along with allowances and government benefits.
