Income Tax Dept Mumbai Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 97 Steno, MTS and Tax Assistant Posts

The Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Mumbai has released an official notification for the recruitment of 97 posts of Stenographer Grade-II, Tax Assistant, and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) under the Sports Quota. This recruitment is open to meritorious sportspersons who fulfill the prescribed educational and sports eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates can apply online from 07 January 2026 to 31 January 2026 through the official website. Selection will be based on sports merit and preference order as per DoPT guidelines, followed by document verification. Selected candidates will receive pay as per Level-4 and Level-1 of the 7th CPC, along with applicable allowances.
