Indian Army invites applications from eligible unmarried male engineering graduates for the 142nd Technical Graduate Course (TGC-142), beginning in January 2026 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun. This is a gateway to a Permanent Commission in the Indian Army. Candidates must hold or be in the final year of an engineering degree in a discipline specified by the Army. The training will span approximately 12 months at IMA, with full government sponsorship. Shortlisted applicants will undergo SSB interviews and medical assessments. The final merit list will determine who gets inducted. Upon successful training, cadets will be commissioned as Lieutenants. It is a prestigious and rigorous path to a permanent officer role in the Indian Army.
