• Formulation of NMET proposals
• Overseeing exploration activities
• Vetting of GRs
• Application of latest technologies and best practices in exploration & sampling

• Identification of new prognosticated coal/lignite bearing areas
• Formulation of exploration proposals/schemes for coal & lignite
• Overseeing exploration activities of coal & lignite
• Guiding departmental geologists in GR preparation
• Guiding departmental geologists in Minex modeling
• Vetting of GRs
• Application of latest technologies and best practices in exploration & sampling
