NESTS Internship Programme Overview:

1. Eligibility: Open to Indian students studying in India or abroad, with a graduation degree or pursuing postgraduation/PG Diploma/advanced degrees, and interested in internships as part of their dissertation/capstone projects. Final-year students are also eligible. Applicants must be under 30 years of age.

2. Internship Focus: Interns can work on pilot projects or micro-studies related to NESTS activities, focusing on tribal education, EMRSs, and Centres of Excellence for Sports.

3. Duration: Internships typically last between one to two months, with a maximum of two interns at a time.

4. Application Process: Candidates must apply via email (internship.nests@gmail.com) from the 1st to the 10th of each month, using the prescribed application format (Annexure-I). A selection committee reviews applications, and successful candidates are notified by email.

5. Incentives: Interns receive a stipend of ₹10,000 per month and are allowed two leaves during the internship. Travel expenses for official tours are reimbursed as per government rates.

6. Internship Activities: The programme provides interns with exposure to NESTS policies and operations, allowing them to work in areas such as Administration, Finance, Data Analysis, Academics, Recruitment, and more. Interns contribute to policy formulation through research, empirical analysis, and reporting.

7. Completion and Certificate: Interns must complete their assignments on time and satisfactorily. Performance is reviewed, and NESTS reserves the right to terminate internships for non-compliance. Successful interns receive an experience certificate upon completion.
