Position Details:
- Title: Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy. SP)
- Vacancies: 17 posts on deputation/absorption basis
- Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs 56,100 - 1,77,500); Pre-revised Pay Band-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay Rs 5400
- Special Security Allowance: 20% of basic pay
Eligibility Criteria:
- Experience: Analogous posts or 2-3 years in relevant grades (Pay Band-2 Rs 9300-34800)
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; 3 years’ experience in criminal investigation, intelligence work, or counter-terrorism
Duties:
- Conduct and oversee investigations and operations related to NIA cases
- Prepare various reports (progress, final, investigation, charge sheets)
- Collect intelligence, interview terrorists, and monitor extremist activities
- Develop contacts, liaise with state security agencies, and attend court proceedings
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisory officers
