Position Details:

• Title: Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy. SP)
• Vacancies: 17 posts on deputation/absorption basis
• Pay Scale: Pay Matrix Level-10 (Rs 56,100 - 1,77,500); Pre-revised Pay Band-3 (Rs 15,600-39,100) with Grade Pay Rs 5400
• Special Security Allowance: 20% of basic pay

Eligibility Criteria:

• Experience: Analogous posts or 2-3 years in relevant grades (Pay Band-2 Rs 9300-34800)
• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any discipline; 3 years’ experience in criminal investigation, intelligence work, or counter-terrorism

Duties:

• Conduct and oversee investigations and operations related to NIA cases
• Prepare various reports (progress, final, investigation, charge sheets)
• Collect intelligence, interview terrorists, and monitor extremist activities
• Develop contacts, liaise with state security agencies, and attend court proceedings
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisory officers

Additional Conditions:

• Deputation Duration: Generally not exceeding 3 years
• Maximum Age: 56 years as of application closing date
• Service Recognition: Prior service considered based on pre-revised pay scales
• Terms: Governed by DoP&T OM No. 06/08/2009-Estt(PAY-II) dated 17.06.2010 and amendments
